European champions. World Champions. Home to some of the best players in the world. But there is a nagging feeling in some spectators. Whistles from Ukraine fans have been followed up by consternation from various European media outlets, who have accused Spain of lacking attacking ambition and have demanded a more entertaining spectacle. Are Spain boring?

What We’ve Learnt after the Groups

So, the quarter finals are kicking off later tonight, with a few surprises thrown in. England have gone through as group winners, Greece have gone through while Holland have crashed out. Hard! We’re going to take a look at how the groups have played out and what has stood out for me so far. Also, as my predictions have largely failed miserably, I’m going to chuck a line in at the end about how the Dutch have screwed me over.
